This is poorly made, the tubes for the height come in two pieces with a barrel connector, I am certain they do this to make it easier to ship but it makes the unit unstable. The tubes then go into the top and bottom shelf, you have to insert a spacer around the tube for it to lock into place on the shelf. The spacer is too small for the tube and does not lock, it was difficult to get the bottom shelf lined up properly to be level. The rack that holds the clothes is a poorly made hook that hangs on the top shelf, you get a screw that you connect from the hook to the edge of the pole for the rack, one side of the pole did not have a thread to connect the screw. The instructions are an illustration with no written instructions to confirm how you should put this thing to together. I threw it away as it would have been too much trouble to pack up and return.

I bought this item from Claire's...an online store touting it's two elderly lady owners as trying to make good.
It was advertised as "heavy duty" so naturally I assumed it was similar quality to just about all wire shelves
on the market. After opening the box my jaw dropped. The shelves had a similar gauge to that of
dry cleaning hangers! In other words, I could easily bend them with my fingers. Hardly "heavy duty" and
a total insult to any consumer. To top it off the plastic locking slides that hold the shelves up didn't lock
so the shelves easily slid down.
I called Honey-Can-Do (what a misnomer unless you consider everything they make is as sturdy as dripping honey).
They were in complete disbelief that their product was considered shabby.
Their customer service told me to send it back to Claire's which I did at my own expense. I could have thrown it out but I
really wanted this thing to go back from whence it came. Eventually, after Claire's "forgot" to credit my card and I had to
remind them months later, they finally did so.
So folks, please learn from my tale of woe. This item is pure JUNK and should be avoided at ALL COSTS!
Now, many moths later, as the pain has worn off, I intend to go ahead with a new purchase and I won't consider the cost as much as sturdiness
& quality. It's just not worth the hassle.
